We are starting to buy items for our new kitchen we are having fitted and a new tap is one thing we require.
Lidl have one of their 'specials' days tomorrow and one item on sale is this tap. There is not a lot of detail given but we do want a 'pull-out' type tap and this one is priced way below similar items we've seen. Anyone any thoughts?:

Lidl products are usually very good, as they often come from decent German manufacturers, below what the manufacturers would charge themselves under their own brand. Just make sure that if you buy the tap, that all the parts listed e.g seals/washers/screws/nuts are in the box. One of the problems in Lidl always seems to be boxes open and parts missing. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0

Good point about checking. If we do buy one tomorrow I will make sure.Waddle you do eh?0 -
For £40, what have you got to lose? Its probably worth buying 2 so that in a few years you have a spare to replace it. That will be a lot cheaper than buying spare parts.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

In my experience, Lidl products are usually decent quality and excellent value.
I have never bought one of their taps but I have looked at a few and they all appeared to be decent quality.
Go ahead with confidence.
Keep the receipt in case you do have a problem in the future. That would apply to any supplier of course.0 -

In a few years time, Lidl and others will still be selling decent taps at a low price.
Whatever hole the OP drills for that Lidl tap now will probably suit 90%+ of other taps on the market now and in the future.0 -

Could end up being a pain having to keep pressing that button on the end. If filling the sink up you would have to stand there pushing the button. instead of doing something else while the sink fills up.0 -

That 'button' is there to switch to the spray head pattern, not to control the taps flow of water. It operates like any other conventionable tap0 -
I wouldn't advise that.

And I wouldn't advise that,
For one, you don't have to drill any holes as 99% of taps are sink mounted. Secondly, at £40 it will hardly take up any house room and wont break the bank. Then you have got a spare of a tap you like.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
