Land registry fee?

Hi

I am going to be gifted a property and am not sure what LR fee should be applied - the property is worth around £700k, has no mortgage and 100% of the property is to be gifted.

Any ideas?

Comments

  • Recently bought a property which falls in the same bracket as yours. The land registry fees were as follows.
    For electronic applications - £270
    For Postal applications - £540

Check the land registry website for more details.

If the property is being 'gifted' so no monies are changing hands then the registration fee is payable under Scale 2

So the fee would be £60 electronic and £120 postal
Sunny2good's registraiton sounds as if it was a normal sale/purchase

  • Thanks guys - I thought it was the £60/£120 fee but wanted to be sure.
