Mac laptops & their reliability

This reply is on a 6 year old Macbook, basic 13inch job dual core with 2.13Ghz. Never had any issues and free software/security updates.
I have used a thin plastic cover for the keypad as I know dirt can get in and cause problems. Battery still gives well over two hours use.
Have looked at replacing with a Macbook air but as it is still fine can't justify it.
Look at buying refurbished from Apple UK and buy Applecare within 3 months from Ebay or similar making sure you are buying the pack with postage and not just a code, then Ebay will refund you if it does not work.
You may like to wait a little while and look at the iPad Pro which will be out soon according to the rumours! Using this with a keypad will be at least as good as a Macbook.0
