PPI Claim - Santander only paying half!

Hi there
New to PPI claims so any help would be very much appreciated!
I have put in a PPI Complaint to Santander for a loan that I had with my ex partner. When we split up, I continued to pay the loan and then my (now) husband and I took out a new loan (with Santander) to pay it off (without PPI). The old loan was automatically paid off by Santander so they cannot argue that.
The first letter received back from them was addressed to me, my husband and my ex.
They have now sent an offer letter (addressed solely to me) but are only paying half to me as it was a joint loan!
"Our offer would have been for £905.51 but as the loan was held in joint names with Mr ***, I've calculated our offer to be 50% for each of you as indicated below. This has already been taken into consideration in our offer to you of £452.76"
Has anyone else had this situation?
Is it worth me arguing that I should receive more - or at least it be split between the three of us??
I do not speak to my ex so assume Santander will keep the money unless he claims himself?
Many thanks :-)

Imagine for a moment how you would feel if your ex had complained prior to you and been awarded your share? You would be rightly furious.
So, your share is (and will remain) 50%. You would have to come to a separate agreement with your ex for him to pay you any additional amounts you paid, but the Bank won't do this for you.
