Hi,
would appreciate some advice on behalf of a friend who has been lied to by a work coach who said it was mandatory to allow job centre access to there universal jobmatch site,so as a result at my friends last visit to job centre he signed a new work plan agreement with various conditions one was allowing j.c full accesss to his job search.
Having heard various things i.e not to give them access my friend is now angry at being duped as he's now in danger of not honouring his agreement of his last visit any help would be appreciated

Tell him to do as agreed and problem solved.
If he feels it unachievable to discuss this with the JC0 -
I would contact these people
http://fightback.boards.net/forum
also see here http://refuted.org.uk/rights/
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/mandatory_or_not_universal_jobma
if you scroll down to the bottom of this page there is a pdf response document.
find out your rights.
If it proves he has lied to you take the strongest action against them.
In future record all contact with them on a dictaphone concealed in your pocket as evidence. do not trust anyone.0 -
Dear Pearls
At the inception of UJ it was not mandatory for claimants to show UJ a/c to JCP staff. Recently the law was explicitly changed to require claimants to have registered for UJ, to have posted a public profile and CV on the site and to allow JCP staff to view the a/c.
However there is still no requirement for claimants to use the site.
This requirement is preliminary to the introduction of Universal Credit which will require claimants to have a Govt Gateway a/c.0 -
thanks to ARCON 5 - VISION 2009 + JOB SEEKING HELP for your contributions i will print and pass this information on to my friend who is also very appreciative of people taking the time and effort to help many thanks0

Remove the DWP access, when adviser then refers to DMA they cannot sanction his benefit when something isnt legislation.
The adviser can however insit the jobseeker brings his log in details to an interview. They have a right to ask the jobseeker to log into his/her account on one of the internet devices in JCP and check that the C.V is loaded and any matched vacancies have been applied for.0
