How to get back at traffic wardens???

IIRC in many cases wardens are meant to allow a certain time frame for deliveries before issuing tickets,
It's called an observation period, to see if any loading/unloading activity is taking place. If there isn't then a ticket is issued, and it's up to the delivery driver to prove that he was un/loading, whilst away from the vehicle for that time e.g. he could have had to deliver a heavy box to the top floor of a building.0 -
so after much debate ive decided to drive by them when not looking and beep my horn really loudly so that it gives them a fright! they should think of that all day and hopefully not get to sleep at night :DDDD
Or you could get some friends, maybe a hobby, add a job in the mix and change your perspective on life from one where the world revolves around your little pathetic life to something better.
Just my thoughts though0 -

Unlike anywhere else in the UK though the traffic wardens and the drivers are really friendly to each other, many seem to know each other by name and have a chat whilst the warden issues them a ticket. Normally they part company with the ticket being handed over, a shake of the hand and a "keep well" or such. Even overheard a few saying "see you tomorrow"
It does somewhat make a mockery of the whole fine aspect of it but at least shows that some people can accept that wardens are just doing their job
Lorries are able to park on double yellow to make deliveries and as long as it does not block the road. heck lorries are allowed to stop in the middle of the road if they need to.
they will probably just appeal and get it overturned.0 -

Is that something based on your observations or legislation?0 -

Loading or unloading is allowed on double yellow lines, unless prohibited separately.

Some may call that wilful obstruction.londonTiger wrote: »Lorries are able to park on double yellow to make deliveries and as long as it does not block the road. heck lorries are allowed to stop in the middle of the road if they need to.

10 years ago, I put some Polski plates on my car. Now I don't have to worry about tickets, MOT or insurance.0

Correct - loading & unloading is permitted, unless there are additional short vertical double-yellows on the kerb, which means "no loading" ( in addition to no parking ).0
