  • Our first half term creation....

Pumpkin and chocolate chunk cookies (even though they do look a bit like potatoes in the photo) have just got the thumbs up from one monkey:)

Had a mixed weekend, some friends from London came to stay which was lovely, and gave us a kick up the backside to get some things done round the house, but tinged with sadness because we had to take our very old and much loved dog to the vets to be put to sleep on Friday. He was the best dog we ever had we were very lucky to have him for 14 years. (he's the one at the front of my avatar pic). All part of being a responsible pet owner, but the hardest one we've had to do. We now have to see how our little one gets on as an only dog without his best mate. :A
So sorry for you Lutzi, we have had to do this twice in the past 6 years because we tend to get older rescue dogs from shelters. It is so hard but we take comfort in the fact that we gave those doggies a happy last few years with our family. Your lucky pooch had a whole 14 years of happiness :A

I don't think anybody with normal paypal activity would encounter any problems. It's the adding and removing of various 'credit / credit cards' that flags up the unusual activity on the account which does it ;)
We've never had any problems so far but maybe once I start adding V3 cards....Will probably just take it easy on them and keep my fingers crossed.

The missus and i have a joint account. It is linked to my paypal but with our separate email addresses linked
If someone sends a payment to her email addy they get an email confirmation that they sent money to ME
That's how MSL/MSM rumbled a few accounts were duplicates a while back
It all gets very confusing...especially for a Monday morning with the kids off school :o Not sure if my Ppal account is verified now as I have no bank account linked just my debit card. Have been using it a long time and always thought I was verified.

I had been thinking about my dear dad last night it would have been his birthday on 11 November .

I remember you posting this before, as it was also my late grandmother's birthday :A such a poignant date.
Thank you for sharing your painting VT, it's beautiful. I'm hoping I'll get to see the poppies at the Tower of London soon, before they start to dismantle them.

    Good Afternoon Elite

Not been around recently due to being in a bit of a dark place :o Hope you are all well.

I am on a Mindfulness Course at the moment and tutor asked: Are our minds who we are?
I said yes definitely, but he disagreed and asked me why I thought that.
Said without our minds we are nothing and what about dementia and brain injuries and what would be the point of CBT which is all about changing the way we think ?
Would be interested in anyone's views on this to help form my response (homework)

Trying to do research for a cruise for late next year now that the !!!!!! deals are showing online.

I had one in mind, first saw this one about 6 months back. The price has not changed :T
but I didn't realise I was looking at obstructed view cabins with huge lifeboats, chains, storage containers etc in front of them.
so I tried looking at a cabin next to an obstructed and the price difference was £200
Part obstructed were not much better.
then I looked at clear view cabins and the deck I was looking at looked like a good position but all of these cabins were twins except for just 2 with Queen size beds.
and now the price has gone up by £340

And no point hoping that I would collect enough points between now and January to get another £100 in deals to make up the difference.

so now instead of the deals just about covering it there will still be an outstanding balance - at least it will be 2015 before its due.

all this research is so time consuming ...
