Just reading back and I see a mention of P Pal, I would just like to tell you of my experience yesterday, I had an email from pp telling me they tried to take a payment from my bank for £450 converted to US dollars,to make a payment to xxxx who had requested it,( I do have the e mail address) the bank refused as not enough funds,( I only keep a float of about £20 in that bank acc.) looking at the e mail I thought it was a scam but seeing as they used my full name I decided to read it all,I phoned pp who were most helpful and came to the conclusion somebody had got my p/w for pp and did the transaction.nobody knows my passwords at all, upon there advice I have now changed my p/w, i also spoke to my bank who said if the funds had been in the account the cash would have gone to pp as requested, now I'm thinking... Could this be an inside job as nobody could possibly guess my p/w.
Could it be that you use the same complex password on different sites ?#CHEEKY :cool:0 -
Evening :)its turned a tad nippy but been a lovely day.I took myself off to the local outlet village armed with the Pink trollie and came home very happy as it was filled with lots of :xmastree:pressies. to cross of my list and needless to say treated myself to a nice Phase Eight jumper in the sale:T.
Off to get some dinner and then set about altering the 9 clocks I have in the house :eek:I always do it early as so many to do and just make sure I know they are an hour slow until I go to bed:rotfl::rotfl:eccentric or what I ask myself:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Only 9?
My ex's dad used to collect clocks either to keep, repair, restore or sell. He had hundreds, if not thousands of them :eek:it was a nightmare to change every single oneI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. TCB are paying upto £73.50 with Aviva for car insurance for new customers....ends in 4 days.
Their quotes are also valid for 60 days....so useful if your insurance is due in next 2 months.
A really big THANKS to juju17, your a :A
I was supposed to be working from home today but once oh saw I was on the laptop, he wanted to sort out his bike insurance and my car is due, so we spent all afternoon  If I was sorting it out myself it would have took less than hour but oh no OH wanted to get involved, he was on the phone while I was on the computer, I wished he had just left me to it, he went with my quotes in the end anyway:rotfl::rotfl: We got my car insurance from Aviva for £317 with £70.70 TCB so when it tracks it will bring it down to £246.30, average quote was £440 so :j:j
Oh bike quote range from £400 to £880, we finally got it for £212.75 with TCB 20.20 so when it tracks it will bring it down to £192.55:j:j
Turned out to be an expensive day, when I was suppose to be working and planned a nsd, oh well at least that is sorted for another year :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
It happens. I had an issue earlier this year - luckily I caught it as my account settings meant I got notifications - change of address, password, bank account deleted ... a string of emails and U just happened to be looking at my phone early in the morning as they came through. Quickly phoned PPal and thry blocked the account before any payments could be made
.
Still no idea how they got access as no other accounts compromised and no viruses etc.

I am in the process of changing p/w of anything important atm, also my bank is sending me a new card so for any bingo sites or the like that I have had in the past my account won't be accesable ... Oops I'm getting paranoid:rotfl:0
