    Not even saying collected?

It may not have been collected as a stand alone order. It could have mistakenly been mixed into someone else's order, and the store only realised when Sad_Dad went to collect his order and his goods were not there. So the other person's order is the one that is actually the one that will show as being collected.

I got some "free" water last weekend with my C&C order that I didn't order.

For anyone else who fancies losing hours this evening- every Argos catalogue from 1973 to 1999 *skips to the toy pages*

OMG, I remember when Argos first opened and the first book.

Anyone with an Amex Gold? Possibly others too - check your account for £10 back on £50 spend at Esso.

Likely account specific but worth checking as all sorts of other offers too.

Possibly, I don't they knew what they were doing, seemed to be a lot of confusion about. I did think it a bit strange that someone else would have walked off with 10 boxes of UDI toastie things without noticing.

and i thought it was North of the Border that was not allowed drink offers?[/QUOTE]

I think that only applies to Mbuys. Probably not an offer, just the pricing system being totally different to ours. I've noticed when I've been there that some things are cheaper to get around it. For example the single bottle price of the wines that used to be 3 for £10 were cheaper in Scotland. So they don't get the offers but in a lot of cases they're not actually paying more.

    Debt-free and Proud!
We used to get the Argos catalogue out before Christmas and me and my sister would go through it and point at things that we wanted. All credit to my parents, we'd always have a good haul. Some of them were second hand but we never went without.

My favourite oh my god I remember that! moments have been
    Little Professor electronic learning thingy
    Dizzy Dizzy Dinosaur Boardgame
Keypers (I had a swan whose wings opened and you could store things inside)
I also had a mini post office because what child doesn't want to recreate all the fun of a POST OFFICE.

I will put this down to my Dad being a postie and me being a little weirdo.
    Debt free 6th December 2014 :)
