Started the day with a free sausage egg muffin from MaccyD, then free yummy hot chocolate with cream from Nero, then picked up a free 'slap wrap' lol from Halfords (o2 app) which will go onto Ds's bike.
Shame I had to fork out £40 to get Ds's iphone repaired after he dropped it and shattered the screen!
Afternoon all!
Sounds like you've had a busy but successful day fuzzgun
Could I please ask where you got your DS's iphone screen repaired? Was it a local place or a highstreet store? DH dropped his back in the summer, but it's still usable so he doesn't want to pay out to get it fixed unless it's a reasonable price. Apparently Apple wanted about £200! :eek:0 -

Don't have another phone to try but I think it probably is the phone as we bought it 11 years ago and it has been playing up for a while ever since I dropped it in the bath0 -

Can anyone recommend a cheap cordless single telephone with answering machine that I can get today please? Our phone rings but then the caller can hear you but you can't hear them. Was going to ask for one for Xmas as knew it was on the way out

Ah, OK, it may well be the phone then. You will notice a massive difference :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Thanks for looking QOC. In my effort to be super-organised I've already checked us in which means I can't now alter our seats. Bit of a face-palm moment!
I've had a shocker of a morning. Not to be indelicate but I get excruciating cramps every now and again around a certain time. So bad this morning I was almost sick. Eased off now but I was in tears. Hasn't been this bad for years. I had started doing my legs and cardio but had to stop because the pain was terrible. Just sitting here quietly having a catch up.
And VT PM sent. You're an :A
EmmaP have a nip of brandy, nothing shifts cramp like it and so quick. xHope is not a strategy.0 -

Yes it was a small local shop that sells phones/accessories/repairs. It needed a full new front as the glass was shattered and there was a hole in it too (he dropped it on a rock apparently!).
I enquired about locally yesterday, and the highest I was quoted was £60 (Grainger Games), 2 were £55, 1 was £45, and the one I went with was £40. They did it in less than 1 and a half hours. Looks like a good job, although DS will fully test when he comes home from school.
Grainger games said it would take 10 days!!.. no thanks.
If you have local phone shops/stalls similar I would suggest asking there.I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
I went to my local last night to try to get a stash of LGs as I had missed the whole 'Tomato & Basil' one making them cost -10p each. Works beautifully, shame there was only one left for me.
Still, 2 for 16p each is not to be sniffed at.:rotfl:
1 x Loyd Grossman Pasta Sauce - Tomato & Sweet Red Pep... £1.98 £1.00
1 x Loyd Grossman Pasta Sauce - Tomato & Basil (350g) £2.50 £1.00

Afternoon all - I have been AWOL - yet again :j
Only 3 days though - wondering what I've missed out on - ??????? .
It looks like I should go to Sada for LGs
- is this still working this afternoon?
Do I need to take them through the self scan?
is this part of a comparison shop?
Is it just certain varieties?
Overnight it seems to have turned into autumn and a howling gale is whistling across the front of the house. We still have the temp traffic lights outside the house so the wind whistling is not doing my nerves any good plus strange cars keep stopping outside“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
