Elite 11+ - Fleecing a supermarket near you!

Hey VT
We've decided to split the cost of one suitcase between us in addition to our carry on luggage. Not gone for extra legroom but a good tip if you think you can squash stuff into your free bag.
We're going from Luton- does your DD fly from there?
Yes dd is Luton based. Let me have the date and I will see if she will on the flight. She is all over the place now summer season has finished and the temps have gone but only flies 3days a week.
Sure she would love to meet you as has met pd already at the puppet thing. Have spare IDh ticket for 21st so hoping she will get train down to join us and meet Naebbirac .
As per my pm, any future help just let us know. Bag in hold £5 each way:o

I notice "...the results had beaten expectations, said group markting director...".
Presumably this means that they weren't having to credit as many Match points onto customers' cards as they expected. I may be wrong. But if I am not, then obviously not enough Elite shopping being done in those stores:rotfl::rotfl:.0 -

Until they find out that excess consumption of honey isn't recommended at some point in the future:rotfl::rotfl:. Don't they keep changing their mind though - the scientists?
The nice expensive £3.25 625g pack of "Sugar Puffs" in M is M vs T btw, just about (T £1.62 until - today!:rotfl:). To go with those expensive cans of pop that have the extra More points. And probably the usuals like the 4 pack Trebor Mints and Kenco Rappor Coffee jar (200g). Plus a single bottle (no need to buy more;)) of Jucee NAS Orange Juice 3L - should be £2.75 M vs £1.37 T again until, just about, today. Obviously need £15 spend in M, need a store running the M&M plus a card, and need not to exceed any caps on points.0 -
good morning 2 any 1 still awake ,

The soup vouchers were from their website but we're limited and ended now I believe. There were reports a couple days ago of them being souped out. Hth..0 -
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/tesco-morrisons-asda-bargains-cost-3493724
Presumably, the following price increases have been approved by their board:
M Cheese Savouries (150g) from 70p to 79p
M Salt & Vinegar Sticks (150g) as above
M Onion Rings (150g) as above
And several others in the same vane.
Tate & Lyle Fairtrade Icing Sugar (500g) - gone up from 99p (my instore check in previous weeks) to £1.28 (according to msm now) - now apparently 69p in Lidl:rotfl:.
M Aloe Vera Toilet Tissue Refill pack from 69p to 79p (also other version same, but didn't keep track of what that was as that one not comparable from A:rotfl:).
These were "(M) cheaper" and then, "everyday price" - now no longer on that, well, "promotion" was actually the word I was going to use even though the stores say not a promotional price. It's still a "promotion" of sorts. The everyday price promotion:rotfl:.
Promotion as in "anything that promotes" (or causes sales). Which, presumably, everyday "low" pricing does.
Actually, I quite like the 'fluctuating prices'. It means we can get a bargain one week, and then another bargain the next week. Then another the week after, and keep moving and switching round and round and back and forth in order to follow wherever the offers (at the competitors!) are going. Whilst people that buy the same stuff week in week out, every week, in other words the vast majority of people, overpay on something each time. There is a reason why the offer goes from the Princes juice one week onto... well, er, the Ocean Spray:rotfl: the next! (It's so that people, in M more fool them, who buy the Princes and just keep buying that and don't look around and see the Ocean Spray (even though it is right next to them) pay more when the Princes isn't on offer, and those that get the Ocean Sprays and don't see to switch to/from the Princes pay more once those are back at full price. In my view. Again, people in general only know the price on about four or five items - milk, bread, a banana and whatever the other two basic items were - probably potatoes and something else. So that, if a store has those at a seemingly 'very good' price, people generally assume (again, completely wrongly and yet another misplaced assumption held by common consent) that a store will be similarly good-priced on everything else.)
And, without fluctuating prices, there would be unlikely to be DTDs at T!0 -
Only £6.55 off a £9.30 shop?!?
I think it's those Savoy cabbage and Swede pack - cost about 90p total cost:eek: - gosh, they're expensive. It's correct though as 22p x 8 = £1.76 + 90p = £2.66, getting on for the £2.75 net cost (£9.30-£6.55). Store didn't have the plain "Blueberry" version so had to pick two of one up. It was good - how to spend a £9.30 voucher off some shop with Oil Elixirs. (They remain at £6 in M btw, of course no idea what APG might do.) As I mentioned, Savoys might be going off today as there are some in M now at 69p. So perhaps stick with the Tenderhearts (the Green Cabbage already having gone off before). (N.I. - I'm sorry none of this available to you again.)
Why £6.55?

Thank you to the Elite for tipping me off:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
(And thank you to the shopper who bought two packs of wipes at £3 each:rotfl:, gave me an okay womble, they compared vs £1.50 each at Waities*. Given the rest of the shop, it would have been better if they had bought some that were available in M, but never mind.)
The Diced Swede pack, I suppose "savvy" in a way, as although they should be bought when whoopsies at 2p, at least we have the full Swede, at about weight of 500g, at 49p in other stores and yet that not comparable so the packs that have the same weight, vs the same for 10% cheaper, is a bit towards savviness. Not too bad on that basis.
The Pomegranate btw I saw earlier, compared vs 49p each which is M's straight price. However, 3 pack pomegranates were £1, so I don't think the loose ones are as savvy, sorry. I think the 3 pack ones in A will not compare vs M, and the A ones are somewhat more than £1 cost now:eek:. (They did go up to £2.50:eek::eek: but have dropped back down somewhat, although not quite back to £1.) Maybe the loose pomegranates are larger than the ones in the packs, so that loose work out better? Better by circumference:rotfl:.
And, with this comparison, and that final (for now!) thought, goodnight!!:) Or good morning, as having to wait up for this shop:D. As well as have a nice, quiet and calm time here at home. Was originally going to be somewhere this morning, but will leave that off until later now, as going to sleep now. See you again soon, sometime!:wave:
*Are those on "low price promise" at £3:eek: in Ocado at the moment, because they price match vs T? "Low price promise". Ocado's words! I had to have a laugh at seeing those words on the Ocado website, when I just looked for the product and stumbled across it on there:rotfl::rotfl:. Ah well, as long as consumers are reassured that the prices they are paying are as "low" as Tesco's!...:rotfl: "Low" price. £3. Or £1.50. You decide.0 -

Emma re your flight to Iceland, there are apparently two seats at the back on the right as you look up the plane that come with extra legroom without having to pay for it. I'll try and find out which ones.
