Cartons of smartprice 1L OJ reduced to 25p (from 65p) in the foyer at my A, no idea if that's a good price any more (thanks to the elite) - it certainly was attracting muggles :rotfl: I bet they didn't even go in for OJ!

Hello. good evening!:) (And thank you bubbs for the new thread.)
Well so much for my being "ready to pounce". I decided to go back out again, for an "emergency" shop. I really don't do those things much as they are mainly the best way of wasting money. I decided the potatoes we had left though weren't going to stretch to cover tonight's meal:(.
The store didn't have my Salad Potatoes:(. With a £1.50 womble, I was then going to buy one pack of the White Potatoes as 'only' 19p:eek: real cash. Sometimes it has to be done:mad::(:(. However, my store had them marked with an individual price of £1.98:eek:. I noticed some E/S Rudolph Potatoes at £1.50 and, although just 2kg:(, it was the best way of using the womble. Either that or travel 20 miles:eek: to the next store that actually has the Salad Potatoes. That wouldn't have made sense as doubtless would have cost me more than 50p in fuel and thus wiped out any 'saving'.
I'm not sure about fleecing the supermarkets, more like the supermarkets fleecing us (i.e. the general public). I also now notice the E/"S" Potatoes have been down to £1 before (some time in July) so £1.50 'r'back' was not good!:(:rotfl: Lost another 50p there. If the White Potatoes are £1.98 individual (still says £1.69 on msm), that could make them better if only a trigger could be found. I hope they are £1.98 for one bag, if anyone manages to find a store that still says £1.69...
It does get people buying more I reckon! Some people will nearly always get 2 for £3 (and remember this is a red label offer;):rotfl:), even in stores where they could have had one pack of 2.5kg salad potatoes at £1.50:eek: (really expensive prices all round, but okay if using a womble). Those who get one pack though, might be more inclined only to get one pack if it is £1.69 individual (and 2 for £3) as not saving that much compared to mbuy price. But... if it is £1.98 and 2 for £3, I suspect more people would buy two. So it sees people buying more, and paying stores more overall.
Then again I don't suspect people do work quite this way.
I will move M list later, as needing to eat my tea! Taking ages and ages for it to cook tonight:(. I think problems will arise with the bold text disappearing back to normal when I try to paste it, but that will be okay and the emoticons having to be put back in!:rotfl: I think we probably are on the Monday data, but I'm not liking the look of it. It seems mbuys returning at full prices and not yet found anything in our favour. I certainly would not try to compare vs Morries mbuys until this data has gone. So, avoid all M mbuys on the M list! We may, or may not, find out if this gives a glitch if items on cheap M mbuy are bought - suggestion that that happened back in August, reoccured later but never managed to find it if gave any glitch, it's possible but we don't have anything to go by to find if any cheap M mbuy would cause a fantastic glitch and I'm not trying.
Shaun Ley back on BBC News (6.30pm-9pm) tonight. He wasn't on this time-slot for quite a while (last time on 1st September) - but, now, two days in a row!:D Not unreasonable given that it's quite usual for anyone doing a job of work to do the same thing on several days in a row.
He is good. We have an 'out-take' though - not sure what happened just after 8pm!:rotfl:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/live/bbcnews
Shaun Ley standing the 'wrong' way... and then he turned round and walked back to the desk and sat down:rotfl:. They kept the 'music'-bed playing and timed it well though. It's actually funnier (for me) when watching it again. He had been just standing there, as if to do nothing (I know the feeling!:D:D:rotfl:), would have easier if he hadn't bothered to get up at all:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. So, a reverse walk!:D:rotfl:0 -
