Morning all - seems not to be raining just yet and OH is having a lie in :)

Just trawling through my emails I had a look at my livingsocial/groupon list and found 2 from Groupon -just an email about local deals for one email address but the other had a code so I logged on and found an automatic 30% discount code for local deals which applies at checkout, valid until tomorrow - so its worth checking any of the emails you are registered with Groupon.

Then I had a look at Topcashback and its 6.06% until tomorrow so 36.06% off - very nice esp if there is something you were thinking about it should now be within budget

Its worth having a trawl through - lots of suitable/unusual ideas for Christmas presents eg nice afternoon teas, steak meals, days out etc

I was woken up an hour ago by what sounded like someone hoovering outside   it sounded like it was moving up the street, as if someone was hoovering the pavement.

Correct- someone went up after with a strimmer and a leaf blower.

Just now someone was putting silver gaffer tape along the edge of the fence and across a manhole cover across my drive

The council, in their wisdom, have decided to resurface the pavements. Sod all the holes in the road, they're just gonna stick an inch of bitumen on the pavements instead

Got my replacement umbrella though :j :j

    Dalai Lama's view on man.

“Man surprised me most about humanity. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
