Seeing mention of a beans glitch got me thinking about the last one so I went and checked my old pics on Dropbox. I know time flies when we're having fun glitching, but is it really as log ago as November last year when we got the cheap Napolina pasta and four packs of Heinz beanz?

Can anyone remember how much the beanz cost in that glitch, was it something like 6p or 8p a tin?

    6½p a tin - I've still got 'a few' :rotfl:

Mhoc, yes I did.....I requested a withdrawal to my bank account a few days ago, .....I have just checked and it has gone into my paypal account!! I definitely requested it went into my bank....so worth checking your paypal account. It comes up as Maple Syrup Media.

Very strange. maple syrup is def another Quidco name.
If they tried to send OHs payment to a PayPal account with his email address it would go no where as he does not have PayPal in any email address.
The details for his account look OK but I don't know what his password is - possibly he doesn't either :)

Either way it should have been in his account by the start of October - just have to see what reply he gets to his email.

OK...so I knew this moment would happen at some point..I just didnt know when.
DS1 is 16 almost 17 and has delared this morning that he's been invited to his first all night house party on saturday....I have mixed emotions on it mainly over the numbers being invited so what would you do...

Apparently there is a list onthe common room wall inviting all sixth formers,I'm told that he wishes to go along with about 100 others, and its being held in a barn on the farm owned by the family...
He needs to take with him something to drink and from what I can gather he is happy to take something like carling zest or similar...I have said I would rather be involved in the purchase of whatever he takes than have him wander into a supermarket to try to purchase something that would be too strong and indeed put him in trouble.....but again therein lies the question of what is acceptable to take and in what quantity.
I know these things are part of growing up and dont want to come over all heavy handed etc but wanted to throw it open for a few observations from others if I may....

It sounds like a well organised event and likely older family will be around to call on. Also Barn will ensure no noise complaints.
Something like carling zest sounds fine and it does sound like your son wants to be see joining in without succumbing to peer pressure and taking a bottle of vodka along.
If he will be taking and drinking his own drink them suggest a couple of cans of red bull or coke as well as will soon get fed up of drinking and will help with thirst if an all night event.
He can point out to any one who thinks he has taken the softer option that most drunk drink at a rave is actually water as most people are tanked up when arrive and need to re-hydrate due to the dancing.

He will do it with or without your help and if you are uneasy then pack him up with red bull and coke but make him aware there 'happens to be some carling in the cupboard'.

I think you have overcome the first hurdle of youth as he was honest about where he is planning to go and what it involves rather than saying he is at a mates.

You still need to tell him the safety aspects like keeping his thumb over the top of his bottle of carling at all times and not putting it down as could be spiked. Drug awareness not only for himself but people around him. If he is stupid enough to be tempted to smoke then nothing unless it is tailor made with a filter. Weed is not to be mixed with alcohol whatever anyone says.
And as naive as you may think he is make sure he has the obvious protection (that bit is legal so might as well make sure) he might recoil with disgust but make sure he knows there is a drawer at home with some in.
I found this was the easiest way with my boys they knew where the condoms were stashed both in my house and their fathers as I made sure their sister told them.

Sorry If i have covered some hard facts about growing up but children who are allowed to explore these things are usually the ones who eventually do a bit of uni work as nothing is a mystery anymore.

These events can become hijacked by others as word goes round so I am sure the family are providing adequate support but let your son know you are willing to collect him at anytime should he feel like he has had enough and wants to leave.
