Clumping Litter

when I had my cat which is my first one ever the previous owner sold me a number of items at bargain prices and also gave me the cat litter which wasn't clumping that she was buying for her cat well after researching quite a few different forums it seemed to me clumping was the way to go so I bought Morrisons anti-bacterial clumping litter @ £2.69 for 8L and the cat seems to like it and I find it much better to keep the box clean I have since noticed Clumping litter in Aldi £1.79 for 10L so what are your thoughts and any advice would be very welcome. Thanks from a learner

Just get it and give it a go, at £1.79 its not the end of the world if its not brilliant. I get wilkinsons clumping at £2.99 and thats very good, I'd give the Aldi one a try but its too far to carry cat litter as well as shopping.0

Do not look at the litter price per bag as such - work out how much you use and then you will know how much is the REAL cost.
The one I use seems expensive at £19.00 for 2 bags 14 litres each BUT it lasts my 4 cats whole month.
To make a calculation simple lets say 1 month is 4 weeks so...
£19.00 divided by 4 weeks is just under £5.00 per week and then divide that £5.00 per week by 4 cats and you see the REAL cost is £1.25 per cat per week.
Very cheap. And it is a very good quality litter.
I posted about it earlier on on this thread - from the Golden Grey range on Zooplus. Clumping great, no smell etc. Very fine granules.
People do the same with food - they judge by the price of the bag but this will not show you the true cost of feeding per week/month as each food has different feeding recommendations.0 -

Agree 100% with GR
I will not shame myself be saying when I last had to do a full change of the cat's trays - I realise that only having 1 cat use 1 tray makes it last longer BUT ...... (we're talking a long time!)
It's just so easyand very, very economical! (both on the pocket & on the time you spend maintaining it!)

well if 2 bags last 4 cats a month - they would last 1 cat well over 4 months...0
