Collaborating printers?

I have a Canon IP4300 which I bought for printing photos. To be honest my old HP is better (I do use both). However, I am wondering if I can do anything to improve the photos when using the Canon?
I do change the paper type etc, but is there anything else? The colour quality is not good at all....
Thanks

are you useing official ink carts for the canon? using refils and coppies can result in hit and miss results, it is also no good just changeing the paper type in the print setup you actually need to use the paper you selected in the printer to get the proper result. It is also a good idea to try different paper.
I havn't used a canon printer for ages so Im not sure if the prints are good or not. I do have a friend who has one but Im not sure if he has ever used it..0 -
Hi Little John
I am using the correct photo paper for the type changed to. I am also using the Official Canon ink too. I just wish the quality was better, as I did buy it specifically for photo printing...
Thanks again
