Someone in the office obviously pressed the wrong t¦t on their keyboard and sent out to all customers on their fix and save tariff a letter telling them they have been switched onto the basic tariff.
They now have all their customers in a queue clogging the phone switchboards spending time trying to tell them they have made a goof. Could they not wait till next April 1 ?

You sure it wasn't just the customers who were on the M&S Fix & Save September 2014 tariff ... that has now ended?

No, I changed to new Fix and Save two months ago, this morning I got my letter telling me that I had been switched to basic tariff. A phone call and wrestle with their automated phone system finally got me to an advisor who confessed they had goofed Apparently many got this letter regardless of what tariff they had actually signed up for.You scullion!
