:rotfl: "verificationdepartment@hotmail.co.uk" ...... at least it's not subtle. Would be tempting to accept your prize from the email address acceptancedepartment@gmail.com and see where they go from there? Might be useful info for the relevant authorities?0 -
If you are unsure as to whether you have won anything, the first question that you need to answer is:
Have I entered the competition?
If the answer is no, then you havent won anything.
Its as simple as that.0 -
"Dear Winner" ... there's the clue - read no further - OBVIOUSLY A SCAM.
Besides ...
You didn't enter it.
They don't know your name.
Since when does entering a lottery require an email adress but no name.
Why the hell would they have a hotmail email address?
Why would the Irish lottery pay out in Sterling?
Why is their grammar so poor.
And umm ... you received 3 of them - blimey that's good luck winning a lottery you never entered 3 times.0 -
Caris,
Dont listen to them. Sounds like you have genuinely won alot of money. You should have faith in society, the above posters are cynical.
Ive won nearly 18 million pounds! but the problem I have is that I cant get it out of the country! Our home secretary, Mr Mugambo Matundeh, is preventing people moving money across into other countries into their own foreign accounts.
If you let me send the money through your account I'll give you 40% of my winnings too.
Just send me your account number, pin number, secret question and authority to use your account.

I have been offered a job with a comapny in Sydney, I cant remember applying.
It seems easy, they put money in my account and I send it to them via Western Union keeping 40% for myself. I cant lose.0 -

you are an outrage but i like your style!!
Caris, you havent won anything i am afraid, its a simple as that. I get mails like this on a regular basis, i like to have a bit of fun with them and mail them back and go along with it for a laugh... when they get to the point of asking for PIN NUMBERS AND ACCOUNT NUMBERS, i mail them telling them its on an attachment (of which one isn't attached) and they start getting all desparate for me to resend, i just keep playing them for the mugs they think i am, eventually they get the message. :rotfl:I never missed a payment :T , I paid off all my credit cards :T , I paid of all my loans :T , i have a work mobile :T - but am now "medium" credit risk0 -

Yes this is also one of the latest scams going around as well, do not do this I repeat do not do this, what happens they send you dodgy cheques that are not real you put them into your bank account then you take your own money from your account and send to the western union addy they have given you a few days later your bank will then write and tell you that these cheques are not real. But then you will be out of pocket for said amount and then the company moves on to someone else and you now have no money and could possible find your self in a lot of trouble.0 -
Hi, I've received (still receiving!) these emails. They're all scams. The latest one is from these guys:
IMPACTWINNERS LOTTERY HEADQUARTERS.
PROMOTIONS/PRIZE AWARD DEPT
KLeen Wood,dlover Road martinslow,
Thompson west lk 9gh
LONDON, ENGLAND,
UNITED KINGDOMNo, I can't make any sense of the address either!
They seem to think that people are really stupid, 'cos at the bottom of the email, it asks for the usual information (which is just used for email marketing, in that once u reply, they know that this email address is active and u end up with loads of spam), but these guys go one further. They actually ask for a copy of your driving license or passport!!:rotfl:As if anyone would give them it.
I've replied to this one, threatening them with action if they dare to send me another one:mad:
The way I see it is that, if it's bona fide, then even if u don't answer, they'll get in touch with you via snail mail or phone.
REALLY wish there was something else we could do though, 'cos I suppose there are a few gullible peeps out there that will give them the information believing they've actually won the money.:(0
