fake Rayban scam

Hi all, I feel so stupid!
A friend sent me a link for some discounted / outlet price raybans. The site looked really genuine and I purchased some on there for a Christmas present. However all the signs have now led me to believe it was fake.
The contact on the confirmation email was a gmail address and now my isp has blocked the site.
I purchased on my credit card and called the company and they couldn't help until the payment had been processed. I thought. They could stop a payment going.out?
What else can I do? Feel.awful!

If you purchased with a credit card, you should be able to claim back on a section 75 clause, if the glasses are indeed fake (which they most likely are).
Once they arrive and you have their non authenticity confirmed, get in touch with your CC provider, who should be able to help.
There are loads of these "copy cat" sites for branded products. You won't be the first to fall for them, and you won't be the last, but the general rule of the thumb is, if it seems to good to be true, they usually are!0 -

Only if they cost a minimum of £100. If they were below this price then S75 doesn't apply and a card chargeback is the only option available.
The card company won't do anything until they know for certain that there has been a breech of contract. As the moment you only have a suspicion that the glasses will be fake so you need to wait until you have them and can prove it.I purchased on my credit card and called the company and they couldn't help until the payment had been processed. If the payment hasn't been processed then is cancelling the card an option?0
