Notebook slow - memory upgrade?

Hi, I bought a used netbook. Nothing flash but I did a complete factory reset, installed AV software etc - it does everything but a bit on the slow side.

Probably needs a boost of Ram

Its got 1GB Ram. How do I find out what RAM goes inside to buy the correct stick?

You can check the taskmanager to see what spare memory is left once everything is running in the background.

2. Get a light weight Linux if you don't have to stick with Windows
3. Get a 120GB/250GB SSD to replace HDD. But this will talking £50 - 90
