Hi there, I wonder if you are able to assist.
I receieved 3 CP Plus parking tickets at the Western Infirmary. I was a new member of staff and as the chap who sits in the wee booth didnt know me I was given a ticket every day for 3 days. After I challenged him he no longer gave me any more and told me that he would "sort" out the tickets i.e. get them cancelled for me.
Well, as you can guess, he hasnt so as my husband is the registered owner of the vehicle he has received 3 letters to advise he needs to pay £30 each - we ignored, we now have the next set of 3 letters asking for £40 each to be paid.
I have been looking through the different threads etc on here and whilst I can see that the general consencious is not to pay them and ignore the letters, I am still concerned that they are sending letters to my husband when it wasnt him driving the car and they are now debt collector letters getting sent.
Is there a letter I can send to them?
Thanks for your help.
Joanne

Hi Joanne,
Basically your OH can send the appeal as shown in post #1 of the Newbies thread. Amend it to add a further challenge point F: 'I was not the driver on any of these occasions and the ticketing employee in the ticket booth is well aware that the driver was female and a new employee. Further, the ticket man told the driver when challenged that he would 'sort it' and get the 3 tickets cancelled (a verbal contract which he or you appear to have reneged on). So I have no case to answer as keeper of this car and don't tell me you have complied with the POFA 2012 because you have not and I am keeping your 'Notices' as proof.
DO NOT LET HIM NAME YOU AS DRIVER. DO NOT BE CONCERNED HE IS GETTING THE LETTERS - THE KEEPER IS IN A STRONGER POSITION THAN A DRIVER SO DON'T DROP THAT PROTECTION HE GETS FROM THE POFA 2012 BY NAMING YOU.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
