I studied in 2001 but left after 6 months due to personal issues, I went back to a different uni in 2007 and they took the overpayment of £700 off over my 3 payments for the year.

Last year I got contacted by parents to say they have been getting harassing phone calls and letters from SAAS as well as my cousin demanding to know where I am! Considering I left home 12 years ago for good I am shocked they are contacting my relatives especially when my cousin was listed on my 2001 loan contact not my 2007 one and its causing a falling out of a family.

Anyway they claim I never paid it back and they just took a small amount off over the year(which is wrong as my payments for that year went down by a few hundred a payment and they claim no money was taken off at all for the entire year!

Anyway I contacted at the time and they said they would get back to me when I can afford to pay(since I am on benefits) and about 6 weeks ago sent me a letter saying I was taken to court in 2004 over this and won(yet I never heard anything before then about this alleged court case) and I rang and was told I HAD to make payment of at least £40 a month to pay it off saying it was minimum amount and I had to pay it, I sent off a form with my income and expenditure and heard nothing till now my parents tell me today they got a letter from SAAS saying they cannot contact me!!!!

I am fed up of their lies or just general uselessness, when I got the letter last year it was address to somewhere I moved out of 10 years ago BEFORE I went to the 2nd uni, and I gave them my current address then but they still sent letters to where I lived 10 years ago! Then when I contacted them 6 weeks ago I gave them the address of where I moved to a few months ago(and even got a letter a few days later mentioning the change in address)

I gave them my landline, both my mobile numbers and heard nothing.

Really fed up with them to be honest as they want me to pay back money that is already "paid back"(in sense it was taken from a further award) keep failing to update address or phone number, contact family members whom are not involved with my last application for a loan etc.

What can I do about this?
