Hi Everyone
I am currently claiming back charges from Lloyds TSB, but feel I have let myself down and they may have won in effect!
My claim went into them in about April for around £1600 including interest.
My Letter was sent about 5 weeks ago now threatening to take them to court if they did not pay the asked amount.
I realised that they had not replied but it was at the 4 weeks after i had sent them the letter! Not a great deal in my bank account so was wondering what to do when they replied to my letter saying they were sorry that I was not happy etc but to bre with them as they had not had time to look at my account, in the mean time I decided to apply to court online but wouldn't accept my payment been a week now since I tried and on Friday they sent me a letter where they have decided to repay £750 back only half of what I am claiming for as full and final settlement or I can go to the FSO, i haven't accepted this but they have put into my bank account which is closed as I hae a debt with them which I am repaying off at £13.00/month to them so they have reduced my debt to them but I also have debt elsewhere which is more pressing.
Firstly
Should they not wait to hear from me as to whether I will accept this amount of money before they pay me?
Also
Can they pay it into a closed bank account? I needed to decide where the money goes as it is, in effect my money and I have an agreement with them to pay off £13.00/month and like I said I have debt elsewhere which is more of a priority or do I not have a case ( I was looking at reducing my debt to them anyway if I did win the charges back) but not all of my payout!!
and Finally
Can I still carry onto court or the FSO or is it too late? They have still advised that Ican go to the FSO in their letter?
I would be really grateful if someone can reply or even Martin himself please...
Thankyou
