At the moment I have work 33 hpw in a job I'm not really enjoying
My partner is self employed and workd around 40 hours a week
I've been offered my dream job but it's only 16 hours a week for the time being
At the moment we get tax credits - if I accept this job will they increase
Just trying to weigh up my option did love to take this job but not sure if we would be able to pay all the bills
Any advice would be appreciated

We don't have any. Children so no costs there
Last year our joint income would be around 15000
If I take this job next year would be 100000 -

I thought you only got working tax credits if you worked 30 hours a week or more?
Other than that there is Child tax credit, but original poster said they do not have children?0 -
So combined hours per year 3796 divided by £15,000 = £3.95 per hour? :eek:0

Okay but my point was more of..
33 x £6.50 x 52 = £11,154 (If the 33 hr job is MW)
£15,000 - £11,154 = £3,846 /52/40 = £1.85 p/h for self employed work.
Is it really worth doing the self employed work?
A 12 hour a week job would pay more...0
