Sky Samsung Tab 3 offer (now broken)

Hi
We signed up for Sky TV 3 months ago. We got a free Samsung Tablet when we did, which was great cause we were looking for a tablet as well.
3 months later the tablet has stopped working, it's completely dead and won't recharge. Looking online it seems to be a common problem and the only solution is to get a replacement.
Called Sky today however and they advised we need to take it up with Samsung cause it's under warranty. Is that right? I always thought you take it back to the place that sold you the item first.
I don't want to start chasing Samsung if Sky are pulling a fast one cause they can't be bothered dealing with it.
Thanks

You can insist Sky deal with it but if they refuse what then? You need to take them to court.
You are better off just returning it to Samsung who will organise everything for you and have a quick turn a round.
Even if Sky do agree all they are going to do is send it to Samsung but it will take 4 times longer.
Whats the problem you have contacting Samsung instead of Sky?0
