Help!!!

I know this probably isn't the best place to put this, but I need the excellent advice of all you wonderful domestic gods & godesses!

Unfortunately we've broken the legs off our bed:eek: and urgently need a new bed frame delivered tomorrow (Leeds). Argos is 21 day delivery, Tesco direct is fairly pricey...does anyone know of a place I can get a black/silver double bedframe delivered ASAP and preferably in my lunch hour..otherwise it'll be a week on the floor for me and OH! :rotfl:

Hi there - I have a feeling this might be moved to one of the shopping forums, just to let you know. To be honest I can't think of anywhere who would be able to deliver a new bed frame within a couple of days. I would suggest contacting a small local supplier as they could probably help.

    Sorry I can't be more helpful.:o

I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...

I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!

There is a company called Helibeds who promise to deliver by bedtime if you order by about 3pm I think. Darn though just looked on their website they are only in the south and wales, not sure if any of the welsh ones are far enough north for you or evn if they are whether they deliver.

Sorry not much help after all.

I bought my new bed from John Peters (in Birstall) It took a few weeks, but had to be ordered in specially. They might have some of the more popular frames in stock?? I think their warehouse in only in Armley. Surely it's worth a call? Their customer service was excellent.

Is there an IKEA near you? I once needed to buy a bed quickly and you can collect the bed there and then. Some stores have a delivery service or you could utilise the www.taxivans.com service?
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

There is the local Ikea just by the M62 in Leeds

Also you nont need to sleep on the floor just put the matress on the floor, its actually very comfortable, when we ordered my last bed it couldnt be delivered for 2 days but I had already given the old one away so I just put the matress on the floor.

Ikea beds may be scandinavian size!
Singles and doubles may be several inches longer than your mattress,
unless you got that from Ikea in which case forget i spoke...
