I don't know if I am doing this right, but here goes.
I have a serious problem, which wakes me up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night, and in the morning full of dread.
Tax credit people sent me a bill for overpayments for nearly £9000, going back to 2003.
Since separating and divorcing 6 yrs ago, I have avoided debt, yet find myself with this huge amount, and i only have 7years left to work, with no pension at the end of it. The overpayments people were very sympathetic- probably because i was crying down the phone, so I've started paying £40 a month, should take 18 years or so. Suddenly i don't feel that my life is my own, as everything I do will need to sevice this debt in some way.

Have they said why you have been overpaid?"Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."0
