Could someone confirm the IS amount to me please, i have looked on the gov.uk website, but just wanted to have confirmation before i phone DWP and question the amount

We are a couple both over 18
I claim CA for my husband who gets PIP (enhanced daily living)

What should the amount we receive be please?

Sorry, just realised you are asking about the disability premium. Unless someone else comes along with the figures then this benefit calculator is usually accurate.

Thank you - i filled this out and it has come up with £181 for IS, but my letter is saying £86.55

It doesn't show a breakdown as to disability premiums on the calculator which is why i was hoping someone would be able to break it down for me so i can work it out where either i or they are going wrong?

Your carers allowance is deducted from IS. Does the calculator / your letter mention that?

    I'll have a go :)

    Personal Allowance (couple) £113.70
    Disability premium (couple) £45.40
    Enhanced Disability (couple) £22.35
    Carer's Premium £34.20
    Total = £214.65

They treat the CA as income so will deduct the £61.35 from the IS so £153.30 (Plus your CA)

This is based on your having no other income and your savings are less than £6000.

Hopefully someone else can confirm or ring and ask for a breakdown.

Looks like they haven't added on any disability premiums. Do they know your OH is receiving the enhanced care rate of PIP?

Thank you for going to the trouble of helping.

The only thing i can see on thier letter is the carers premium.

I've just read the link about premiums and think we should qualify for the disability premium (enhanced) like you've said.

So do i just ring and say they've missed them off?

    thank you again
