Hi All,
I am hoping someone can help, my son who is 11 has Minecraft on the PS3 andwould like to no go online via PC. He would like a PC for Christmas that issuitable for both his homework and also playing Minecraft, I do not want to tryeven starting a self-build and am wondering if anyone could recommend anything.
As cheap as possible please with Office, (I know there are free versions but all school work is taught on Office and I don’t want to confuse him) many thanks in advance.

It's really not that difficult to add a Graphics card to a stock PC.0

This Medion Akoya E4066 D - A series A8-6500 3.5 GHz - 6 GB - 1 TB - AMD Radeon HD 8570D for £249.99 is a good place to start if on a budget.0

You don't need to add graphics for Minecraft - it's mainly CPU bound, the onboard graphics on any of the Intel 4k series processors will play the game, but i5s tend to be the sweet spot for CPU power & price (i3 saves money but drops performance, i7 the opposite).
You can then open up the box and add a graphics card if they get into other games later.0 -

The Pi is a small computer, set to be used on the school curriculum, and minecraft is potentially a teaching tool.
You may remember when Mojang released Minecraft: Pi edition for free on Raspberry Pi back in early 2013. If you’re unfamiliar, Minecraft is a popular sandbox open world-building game (like on-screen lego) available for a number of different platforms like PCs, consoles and phones. The Pi edition has a Python programming interface allowing users to use code to build things and manipulate the virtual world around them. It’s a great way to learn coding, and there are plenty of great projects out there people have done and shared with the world. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
