Hi guys, we are a family of 7 (2 adults 4 kids and a 7 week old baby) and are going to Blackpools haven site Marton Mere on friday for a week. We will be traveling by train and need some help with transport options as we dont drive. I am aware of the 20 bus that runs from marton mere to town on the weekends which we will use on the saturday and sunday but are there any otheer buses that run in the week? also is there a bus that runs from the station to the haven site (blackpool north) or will it be cheaper getting a taxi (are there any taxis that will hold all 7 of us and the pram?). Finally are there any supermarkets nearby and if so do the buses run to them? starting to panic now, dont wanna be stuck on site with no transport and wet weather

Not sure about the buses apart from there used to be a bus from the site into the town on most days when we had a caravan on site.
There is a huge Tesco Extra about 10 mins walk from the site. The site shop used to be well stocked but more expensive than the Tesco.0 -
There's a regular bus on the main road near the campsite, and it's about a fiver in a taxi to the nearest supermarket (Tesco).0

with 7 of you it may be cheaper getting a taxi/mini bus it's only about 10 minutes so can't cost a lot. If you look at google maps put it train station and park it gives you an idea of the buses there are a few that pass close by on a regular basis.
we haven't been for about 6 years but marton mere did have good holiday clubs for kids and indoor pool and evening entertainment , the zoo and stanley park aren't far away as well.0
