Feedback advice

I normally give decent feedback (5 stars etc.) even for some items that weren't perfect, in fact, it's got to take me a lot not to give out good feedback.
However, the time has come that I feel that this seller is taking the **** somewhat and that because he has done it before, it isn't a one off.
I ordered an item on Weds (8th) late evening. It has next day despatch and following day arrival with RM 1st class. Now, I don't care what people say about the RM, my experience of them, is that sellers who do post next day, it will arrive the following day.
So, Friday came and went, Saturday came and went, as did the postie, no item and the ebay despatched box is still not ticked, with no comms from seller. So, I send a message on Saturday evening and get the out of office, but with the added bonus of we're having problems etc.
Now, forgive me for being so cynical,but I like to think I can tell a genuine problems message and one sent out as standard on emails to cover the delay.
Sunday evening I get a despatched email with an Amazon Logistics tracking code and their name. The despatched box was ticked soon after.
Now, what he has done before (it's in his feedback) is order from Amazon and drop shipped to the ebay customer.
Now, I don't mind where a seller gets his stock from and the fact he got it cheaper than me, as long as it's described correctly and arrives on time. It is down to arrive Weds (15th), a whole week for a 1st RM next day delivery and I had to chase it.
The icing on the cake will be, that it is a fake. It's an aerial, a Chinese one. Now, if you know what you're doing, like I do (I order a lot of stuff from China - non ebay) it is okay. But you need to study the specs, spelling and pictures, plus the company itself, to be sure.
If this seller has just lifted the specs from Amazon and ordered it from there, chances are is it's going to be a knock off.
meanwhile, I have to wait until Wednesday before I can reorder it from somewhere selling genuine stock.

Why do you have to wait until Wednesday to order it from somewhere selling genuine stock? If you need one then order one and return the original purchase if it isn't required.
Some people make more problems themselves.0 -

Because I won't be 100% sure until I see it. Also, sending an item back, getting a refund and the cost refund (business seller) of sending it back, can be on the painful side.0 -
Refuse delivery then.0

If you want an item quickly, why not purchase from someone that will give you Express Delivery, and pay the premium?However, the time has come that I feel that this seller is taking the **** somewhat and that because he has done it before, it isn't a one off.
Done it before to you?
Move on, let it go, be happy

Done it before to you?
A triumph of hope over experience I suppose ;-)The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
I would have expected it on Saturday, IF the Royal Mail were playing nice. To me, same day dispatch is the same working day you order but as you ordered in the evening I'd count the order as being received on the day after, so the Thursday. That makes next day dispatch the Friday. Otherwise, same day and next day dispatch are the same thing, surely? If I posted something 1st class it would normally arrive two days later - I'm sure it depends where you and the recipient are. Some areas are great, some are rubbish, so I'd normally consider 2-3 days in the post acceptable with RM, as long as it was actually dispatched when it was supposed to be.
As for everything after that, yes I'd be annoyed.0 -

No, order day was Weds, despatch day was Thurs (as indicated by ebay) and item due to arrive Fri, with an extra day for Sat if RM are a bit slow.
To those asking, I know about the Amazon thing, because after digging a bit further back on his feedback, other buyers have stated this. I don't know 100% fake, which is why I was waiting until it turned up. But if you drop ship (not from stock) how can you guarantee that it is genuine?
Anyway, sod's law says it turned up yesterday whilst I was at the doctors, the ( coax is loose and can't easily be fixed on an new item without risk to damage).
I've gone to do a return and it works fine on other items (just tested them, didn't follow through) purchased, but on this one it comes up with;
You can't open a return on eBay for this item .sgnsta .lb { left: auto !important; }
We can't process your request to return this item because either the seller's or your postage address isn't in the US. Please contact the seller directly to return this item or see whether you qualify for eBay Money Back Guarantee.
Well no, it was on ebay.co.uk, I'm UK based and seller has UK contact details with item listed as being in UK.0 -
I'd phone ebay, it is so full of glitches at the moment that a lot of things need to be done via CS.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
