in Credit cards
Hi all. I am going abroad mid August and want to hire a car for the week. I have found a number of firms who offer decent deals but they all want payment by credit card. I do not have a credit card, only a Barclays connect debit card (which is great) but debit cards are not accepted. Anyone offer any help as to a way around this, or as a last resort, the best credit card to suit a "one time only" customer. Thanks Kev

if u're a one time only cc user and will pay off the whole amount it won't really matter what card you get.0

I would apply for the Nationwide credit card as this has good rates if you use the card overseas ,check out the credit card section and see what Martin has reconmended.
You might have left yourself short of time if you are travelling mid August apply ASAP for the card to arrive in time or use American express travellers checks.Previously known as Bokken,registered at MSE in Nov 04,computer glich deleted my access but it is fun building up my stars from scratch,again.:D0
