Also looking for anyone with bebeconfort pushchair / carseat?

Hiya

I have posted about the Mutsy and am very keen to try it out - The lie flat car seat has sold me!

However I am now interested in what people think of the Bebeconfort - It looks fab and has a lie flat car seat which is what I am looking for - interested to know what people think of it.

TIA

we looked at it and I thought it'd be perfect as we want a pushchair that will face both ways once the baby is sitting up (very few on the market). When we tried it though it didn't fit in our boot very easily (it would go in but the parcel shelf wasn't flat and there wasn't room for anything else). It wasn't that easy to move around either and as it's got 2 handles you can't push it one handed. It felt pretty heavy to me. The only way to know with any of them is to go and try them in a shop - if you can find somewhere independent like two left feet in Bedford then you'll get good advice and lots of help.

In the end we're going with an iCandy cherry and a maxicosi car seat (it's not lie flat but has an insert for when baby is little to take out the dip behind the back). That was what suited our needs but everyone's different and has different priorities.

Thanks - I do love the icandy. I am just sold on the flat car seat idea. I can't wait to actually start looking at pushchairs. I am banned until I am 12 weeks but just like to get the low-down.
I only have a FIAT punto so it maybe I cannot have it either!

    Thanks for your help.

you may find that you need to buy a lie flat car seat and then buy a different pushchair with a carry cot - you don't need to have the car seat to match necessarily (although it can be useful).

I have a BebeConfort Loola, Windoo carrycot and CreatisFix car seat ready for this baby. The Windoo is already fixed to the car ready for his arrival so he will be flat out when he is newborn then we can move to the car seat when he wants to sit up a bit more.

I love it, but then im biased! lol Cant wait to get out and use it!

    Hiya

    Ooh how exciting.

Does the windoo double up as a car seat? If it does then do you really need the creatisfix too?

If you don't mind saying - how much did it all cost you? and where did you get it from?

    Thanks for your help x

Good Luck with your pregnancy! Not long to go - wooo hoooo!

Yes the Windoo comes with car fixing brackets and can be securely fitted into the back seats, we have it in there now along side DS's booster seat and there is plenty room. It does up to around 9 months (cant remember exact weight) but the CreatisFix does up to 15 months (depending on baby weight / size of course).

I guess you wouldnt need the Windoo and CreatisFix but the car seat can be used longer and i dont think our wee man will want to be lying down all the time in the car once he is bigger.

I already had the Loola from DS #1 so only had to buy the Windoo and CreatisFix on top, Windoo was around £100 from Boots.com in a sale and i got the CreatisFix brand new on ebay for £35.

Thats the reason i justified for buying both, they were fab prices compared to the high street. We went to Mothercare to try them out in our car before we bought and they were £95 for the car seat and £170 for the carrycot!!!

Thanks for the good luck, my due date is Tuesday (24th) so getting fed up and uncomfy now! Doing all i can to help him along but he seems to be like his big brother, far too comfy to do anything!

How do you find the icndy to push? My friend has one & I found it to be very heavy, but that maybe because I have a bugaboo and its sooo easy.

Alison6692 your just like me, I researched everything there was to resaerch about pushchairs as soon as I found out I was pregnant -I HAD to have the perfect one for my needs. :rotfl:

  • Hi

I have the Bebeconfort Loola and loved it with the Windoo carry cot (although it is sometimes awkward to push one handed and difficult to push up cerbs, but you get the knack). I have a problem with the loola pushchair seat though. I wanted a pushchair that would last until LO was at least 2 years old and it let me down badly. I only used it unitl LO was 10 months as with the footmuff in the straps aren't long enough and she ended up pinned into her seat. I will use the windoo for another child as I can't justify another pram but I can see going back to a stroller when they get older.

As for a lie flat car seat, or using the Windoo as a car seat can I recommend caution. I watched a strapped in carrycot (one that was meant to be used in the car) in a crash test on the which website and it totally terrified me. It literally snapped in half under the pressure of the crash. I don't know whether the which report has been updated or they've now carried out more tests on the lie flat systems but as far as I was concerned this was enough reason for me to spend a fortune on the Britax ISOFIX car seat which performed best in the tests. It didn't fit on my pram so I couldn't use it as a travel system, but this didn't bother me.

Good luck, it's a minefield out there when it comes to prams!
