I am part of a joint claim-what happens if I get a 16 hour job?

Hi just wondering if anyone could help me out. I am currently signing on as part of a joint claim for my partner and myself.
I know I should be looking for jobs for 24 hours and over but after searching for 8 months I have been applying for near enough anything.
Today I got an email offering a job interview on Wednesday but the job is for 16 hours.
What would happen if I got it? Would I just have to such up a loss? Keep on job searching for the extra hours?
I wouldn't mind working for a slight loss as it's worth it for the experience and prospects.
Whenever I try entitledto I just tie myself up in knots and don't really trust it. Has anyone been in this situation or have any knowledge?
Thanks a lot,
Charlotte

I just did the entitledto calculated and will be worse off by £9.70 a week if I get the 16 hour job.
Quite a lot of money per month. Luckily I could walk there so no extra costs.
I couldn't check how much better off we would be if I got a 24 hours p/w job because I did it wrong the first time and you are only allowed to check twice on one day-frustrating!0 -

I think something has gone wrong here.PPI on Natwest loan, Barclayloan, MBNA credit card, and Mortgagecare all repaid just for asking in 2012/2013!
Barclaycard - PPI refund refused 26/01/13, ombudsman upheld 12 May 2014, Barclays resisted until March 2015 - FOS say Barclays are calculating an offer, they have 8 weeks.0 -
How strange!
My above post says I checked the entitledto checker and if I work 16 p/w I will be minus £9.70 a week. Monthly this is quite a big chunk.0 -

How much are you getting on JSA and how much will you be earning?
Does you OP have a claim for contribution based JSA as part of the joint claim (ie was he working for 2/3 years full time before his claim for JSA) and when did the joint claim begin?0 -
We get £225 every two weeks on jsa and have 2 small children. No he wasn't working, he had a series of breaks all in one arm which he is currently waitin on having an operation to rebreak and straighten. As a roofer he doesn't feel safe on a roof.
The job is just min wage, I haven't been offered it yet but if I did now I'm worrying I would be £40 odd a month down which is a lot of money. If it was for 24 hours or I could find another job for 8 hours we would be £69 a week better off0
