Have I messed up?

I've had some other problems unrelated to bank charges which meant my mind hasn't been completely on sorting out the charges :embarasse.

On Friday I was going through my letters from Natwest and the Small Claims Court and have just noticed that one of the Small Claims Courts letters asks for the below:

1. "Claiment shall by the 21st of July 2007 send to the Court and to the Defendent a schedule of items claimed for indicating: Date, amount, basis for disputing and substituting as apporopriate an alternative suggested charge".

2. "Defendent shall by the 18th August send to the court and to the Claiment a counter schedule as above indicating the basis of the charge and basis on which it is defended and setting out the cost to the Defendent of supplying this service.

Can anyone please let me know what the above means exactly? I have sent the request for info back to Cobbetts but unsure what I need to send to the SCC - is it just the sheet with charges/interest?

Also as you can see from point 1, I am late with returning this info as it should have been sent to arrive on the 21st (yesterday). I plan on going to the court to hand it in personally in the hope that it isn't too late - would this be okay? or am I going to have my claim stopped for late delivery of info?

Any help greatly appreciated.
Ross.

  • Can anyone please let me know if I'm going to be too late with handing the requested info in tomorrow, when it should have been there on Saturday.

Why don't you get it to court first thing in the morning and post off the copy to their solicitors.
We,ve had very bad weather and postal strikes which have slowed things up this weekend.
It's interesting that they want the bank to respond with what they think their charges are because the bank just won't do this.
  • Thanks for the reply:)

I went to the court on Monday morning and they just took the list of bank charges which they then stamped as received. Everything seems to be in place now.
