Being refused a balance transfer....help

Hi All
I have £9000 on Virgin credit card. The 0% interest free period has run out and I am now being charged more interest than I am paying out each month. I haven't got a good creidt rating so am stuggling to get a new card. Any suggestions on what I can do before I get swallowed up by interest??
Many thanks

Get yourself over to the debt free wannabee board.
Make a full statement of income and expenditure on there.

It looks like you will have to curtail a lot of spending soon to start paying this off.

It's difficult to see a way to avoid paying a lot of interest if you have a poor credit rating and have £9k on a card. Would you get a personal loan with a bank who would be more sympathetic to your needs? While you may get a higher than 'typical' interest rate, you'd have to see how it compared to your Virgin card.

Surely your rating cant be that bad if they have given you 9k? or has it deterioated since then.

    I agree. What's changed in 12 months?
