Yes, there are times when override numbers are useful.

I used to use them all the time when I had a contract on the then One2One, when they offered free calls to free-phone numbers, although it was always a game of cat and mouse, with One2One blocking the access numbers, and then having to use a new access number.

I have a Virgin mobile and have used an override number from time to time, but I am currently using easyMobile as they offer xnet calls for 6p/min at the moment.

This thread should be useful to those who maybe unaware that all 01 and 02 numbers are charged for or taken from inclusive minutes.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)
