Replacing GX520 CD-ROM with a DVD RW?

Hi,
I have just bought a gx520 off ebay. It is a SSF so the cd drive is really a laptop type one. It is currently a H-L GCR-8240N.

I'd like to replace it with a DVD RW. Any recommendations as to what to buy?

check the connectors on the back of the current drive I think it might be Dell proprietary like the GX280s

Looks like a single ribbon cable.
Does that mean I'm stuck?
Can you get replacement Dell type drives and then can I go for a higher spec?

I will settle for a CDRW/DVD ROM or DVD-ROM if I have to.
Bit sad tho if I have to.

Very expensive though. You might want to try eBay for spares

not sure if this is the right type, difficult to tell from the pic.

If not, you could always get a usb one.
