hello people,

i've come across asiarooms.com while looking for a hotel in london. has anyone ever used them? something doesn't feel right i.e prices for certain hotels way too low

I made a booking with them at a low price. Two days later they added a hefty surcharge. I cancelled.

Used asiarooms.com for a month long holiday in thailand/malaysia used asiarooms for all but one of my hotels - must of been 8 different hotels and i must say i had no problems at all i even recommend them to friends! the reviews are a handy guide too.Like i say - i likey alot. Shame u had a bad experience

I have used them many times (usually for hotels in Asia though) and found them to be excellent,don't be worried if they seem cheap as they usually are for certain countries.

hi!that's normal because of the competition. Best way to test it is to try!;)

I used Asiarooms for the first time last year, i did not have a problem with them. I think the problem sometimes can be that they have to check if rooms are still available and this can take up to 48 hours, the delay is usually with the hotel.

I plan to book with them again soon as they have some great prices. I am sure you have an option not to continue with the booking if they come back with a higher price. from my experience once they had confirmed the price and i agreed, that was it, i dont think they charge for using credit cards.

I have used them a number of times for booking business trip rooms and have never had a problem. I once has to cancel 1 night of a booking and they did it with no problem - there was a small admin charge but they refunded the balance of that night with no problem whatsoever

They are known for 'switch & bait' techniques. I.E They have some hotels at remarkably low rates that draw people in who try and book it. They then say it's full, and switch you to another hotel they work with. They are fine to use, just don't believe them if they say your hotel is full.... always double check with the hotel directly.

I used asiarooms.com to book a room for one night in Kuala Lumpur but they charged me 3 times for the same booking. So I cancelled two of the bookings myself and recieved the refunds minus 2 lots of $15 admin fees. Now $30 may not be a lot of money but it really is the principle. I am now in daily contact with them and they come up with a new excuse every time, they will just not refund me the $30. I even had to fax them my card statement to a number in Singapore but more excuses followed. I think I am going to have to give up because I really don't have the time to keep emailing them various details all the time. My only is advice really is not to trust them, if anything goes wrong you have no chance of a refund.
