Splitting from partner: joint deeds - no mortgage (freehold)

So the property is in joint names, the loan to pay for the house is in joint names, and there is equity?
Why would she not be entitled to half of that equity?
The fact that the loan is from your father is besides the point. You're both paying him back, and you both have your names on everything.
Either sell the house or buy her out.0 -
OK guys thanks for all the advice.0

She thinks she shoud be entitled to somthing as the property is valued more than when first bought.
Is this just pure cheek??
Is she really entitled to something?
Opinions please.
cheers.
She is entitled to 50% of the increase in value, so if it has gone up say £20k, then you will need to buyer her out and give her £10k.
I am not sure how you see this as not being fair, as it has nothing to do with the borrowed money.
Likewise, if the house was worth £20k less than when you bought it, she would have to pay you £10k to get out.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
