Hamster friendly toys

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any small simple toys for a hamster to use while it is outside its cage
At the minute when she comes out her cage I am constantly behind her in worry she will get stuck somewhere/go somewhere I don't want her to etc (under the fireplace etc). Also it will be handy for when I clean her cage out.
As she comes out most days, it will need to be something easy to use and of course, safe for her.
Thanks!

Have you not got a ball for her to run around in? I used to let hammies out for an explore but only ever with supervision.0

Could you set up a hamster playpen? I used to do that with my hamster and then with my rats (although they were much better climbers and higher jumpers). I used a huge cardboard box, split one corner so I could set it up in the corner of the room giving loads of space then filled it with tubes, tunnels, cat toys, some hamster food scattered around so he could farrago for his dinner.
It kept him in a safe area so he didn't have to be watched all the time, I could just check in on him every few minutes and because the box was collapsable I could hide it away when he was finished without it taking up too much room. He did also get plenty of time being handled and being allowed to explore but then he was constantly supervised.0 -
I thought the balls were meant to be cruel for hamsters etc?
The box thing sounds a great idea, and very cheap too
