Do you pay painters in advanced or wait till the job is finish?
Do you need to be with them for the whole week?

It is not usual to pay tradespeople in advance. If they ask for this, you need to wonder whether they are professional enough. They should have enough money or credit to buy materials before you pay them, especially for a job which is only costing £600. If it were an extension on a house, that might be different!
£600 including materials for 3 rooms sounds on the low side to me. 3 rooms, including woodwork and thorough preparation should take at least 4 days. Most pro decorators charge 125-150 per day just for the labour. Paint for ceilings and walls alone for 3 rooms will cost at least £140 for anything decent (e.g. Dulux Trade).0 -
Apologies I supply paint.
In the living room wallpaper need stripping that's the price.0 -
Pay nothing until you receive an invoice and then only if you are completely satisfied with the jobmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Paying them on a day by day basis. Is this better?0
