We got ours online 170mm and we doubled up so there is 340mm up there! Believe it cost about £180-£200 delivered. Ours is a 3 bed semi.

I would certainly check out the British Gass offer, unfortunately for us it came out 6 months after we did it!

depends doesn't it - you can go down glass wool route - it's cheap very nasty but if you get a staple gun that's any good you can get the gloves and mask on and after packing the rafters literally staple it to it it, then cover up with a vapour barrier then if you want bang on some wallboard, etc etc, depends if its a living area or will be?


or you can go hybrid and do the above but then plate it with thinner cheaper celotex wannabes like Quinn or exotherm


of you could go for the expensive and best option which is to buy a lot of Quinn/exotherm ( no need to totally murder you bank and go for the branded celotex, it's polyiso mainly the same makeup) 150+ mm of that between the rafters and you're warm as you can be - it's cleaner, far less bad for lungs, you can chop with a carving knife in an airy room and if you chop it slightly too big it's like putting a cork in a wine bottle
