Is my Tablet Faulty ?

Hi I bought a Lenovo Tablet A8 50 in September.
I have had the most awful trouble with it connecting to the internet.
I have gone to great lengths to get this to work for me but I have now reached the point where I think it must be faulty.
The tablet wont connect automatically to the internet.
It will not stay connected for longer than 7 minutes (usually 4-5mins)
Each time it disconnects I need to go into settings, turn the wifi off then on and then reconnect.
I was trying to watch BBC iplayer last night and during a 1 hour program it disconnected about 15 times.
This is what I have done so far:-
I have reset the router
I have factory reset the Tablet x 2
I have reset the date (found on google)
I have given a static address for the tablet
I have put a static address on the wifi
I have replaced my router with a brand new one
Reset the brand new router
downloaded a wifi manager to the tablet
Everything else in the house works fine on wifi.
I have an excellent signal
I have done all the updates

To be honest the tablet is rubbish. I was expecting it to jump into life the minute I turned it on. I was expecting to have uninterrupted wifi
Am I expecting too much... is my description the norm?
At the moment I have a very expensive alarm clock.
It works well if I download videos and watch them off line but that's not what I wanted it for.
Help!!

It could be but it could be your wi-fi set up.
Have you fixed the channel the wi-fi is on. If it changes channel the tablet might lose connection. The laptops may handle the change...the tablet may not.
It's not been that long I'd make a good attempt to return it.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Yes, set the channel.
I have spent a lot of money on the tablet, a case £19.99, screen protector £6.99 (and of course the new router) the accessories will now be wasted ....
