How to reclaim if over the 6 month timespan

Hi, i had a claim with MBNA, Yorkshire bank and Capital One.....at the time, i sent off all 3 enquiries and all 3 were rejected by the banks......MBNA and Yorkshire were sent off to the ombudsman but i didnt persue Capital One as i only had a few statements with minimal PPI on them.......I won against the 2 claims, which they then settled......after coming accross some later statements from Captial One it was found that i had been paying PPI for over 10 years to them, quite substationally too at the beginning......i sent it off to the ombudsman but they wouldnt follow it up as it was now over the 6 month time period from when capital one rejected it...........looking on this site it says that if its rejected due to this timespan just put in another claim.......i have now reclaimed twice more times with them but i have had the same letter back each time stating that if i require to know the state of my claim i am to contact the ombudsman.......but i know, and they probably know, that it has been rejected due to the 6 month stipulation......any ideas how i can get then send me a rejection letter so i can state the reclaim from scratch with them........i guess i must be owed about £4000 if my calculations are correct but i cannot do anything without a rejection letter from Capital One and they seem to be refusing to send me one........please help.

You've had it, forget about it.
Once you've passed the six month time span, all capital one have to do is reject your complaint as being out of time.
Comfort yourself with the thought that most capital one complaints are not upheld at the FOS.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

Which is nonsense. You get six months from the date of your final decision letter. You cannot put in another complaint about the same thing. They will quite correctly just refer you back to their original decision letter.
The reason for the six month rule is precisely to prevent situations like this. It is accepted that it is not right to allow potential liability to linger indefinitely. If you really believe that you are in the right then six months is more than enough. FOS will only consider a complaint outside of this time frame if it can be shown that you could not have been expected to submit it in that time frame due to exceptional circumstances serious illness etc...).......i have now reclaimed twice more times with them but i have had the same letter back each time stating that if i require to know the state of my claim i am to contact the ombudsman.......but i know, and they probably know, that it has been rejected due to the 6 month stipulation......any ideas how i can get then send me a rejection letter so i can state the reclaim from scratch with them........i guess i must be owed about £4000 if my calculations are correct but i cannot do anything without a rejection letter from Capital One and they seem to be refusing to send me one........please help.
You can't start it from scratch. You've had your chance and you didn't take it. Excuse the bluntness but it really is that simple.0
