Click and collect we will not try. Don't think the sales will increase a great deal with it.
However global shipping we already ship a lot of one product to the EU and OZ on a business account. so we may do a test buy now on a private account for it.
I am wondering if I can chance my arm an send it untracked to the ebay hub. Thus making a couple of pound extra on each sale lol
Ebay will not nick it but will they loose it in the uk hub before it is registered rofl (supposedly I am protected against lose as soon as its registered at uk hub)0 -
Can't comment on the global shipping programme as a seller - but I have used it as a buyer when buying from the US.
I spoke to HMRC who confirmed they do NOT have an agreement with Pitney Bowes so goodness knows what happens to the money paid to them as import taxes.
Also, as a buyer I now avoid sellers who use the programme because the postage cost is higher through the programme and it automatically charges import taxes based on the item cost, even on items which do not qualify (due to category).
It may not cause you any similar problems, but I no longer bid if the seller uses the programme so in my eyes they are losing sales as a result, or at least losing the potential for a higher end price.0
