Hello guys.
I'm new here.
Would anyone be able to explain to me this :
ID protection charges
Back 2012 I found out that my hubby to be hasn't got a great credit history. And as you all know we need it to be good everywhere these days.
So there is me trying to get him a credit card from any bank. In the end there was only one, vanquis bank (that I hate with passion).
I told him that this bank will give him a credit card n left it at that. Nxt thing I know he has a card n I'm the one in charge. Everything goes fine up until I decided to pay it all off as he been accepted for a Barclays card. I've paise the vanquis bank off. And completely forgot about that card. 6 month later they started to ring us saying that he need to pay £100.
So I took mater in my hands again and done an online account and checked everything.
So my question really is could anyone explain what is all of that charges that he's been paying. I will list them now.
Thank you very much.
I'd protection £6.99
Repayment option plan
Purchase interest
Default charge interest.

Hi - from memory when I had Vanquis they try to sign you up to all sorts of rubbish, Repayment option plan will be their version of PPI, ID protection speaks for itself & interest will be trailing interest or interest from the monthly charges for the above add-ons.
I found them good to get back onto prime cards & never had any problems with them. You just have to say no to all the stuff they try & flog you, they even once called me up saying I could get a free trial for discounts on online shopping & after free trial I wouldn't need to do anything & would get billed monthly!
I would suggest you try & find when these add-ons started to appear on the account & SAR them or alternatively ask your other half if he remembers agreeing to them or if he has any paperwork left for this account.0
