Water collecting on doorstep inside

Hi. Seem to have got a problem with what appears to be condensation.
We had a similar problem last yr but don't think it was this bad. Seems to have been made worse by having a new PVC door fitted.
Water is collecting in pools on the doorstep, having to put paper towels and tea towels down so it doesn't wet the carpet.
Is this cause of the recent change in weather do you think?
It's quite cold at the bottom of our stairs where the door is so have put a radiator there to warm it up a bit but it doesnt seem to have helped.
Any ideas on how we can cure this?
Thanks

We had this earlier this year. New composite door had been fitted and water was seemingly pouring in
Called out the company and it turned out to be the letter box wasn't sealed0 -
We haven't had any rain to come thru so pretty sure it's condensationCath x

what's the humidity like in the house?
If you are drying clothes indoors, tumbledryer, showers with door open and/or no extraction fans, perhaps the vapour is condensing on the cold (stone?) footstep.0 -
Can't say I've done much of that in the last few days when it's been really bad

When it's wet run a paper towel around the door, especially the bottom. You need to make 100% sure it isn't a leak before trying to fix a condensation problem.
Then you can look at ventilation and humidity etc.0
