Colour of woodwork

All of the woodwork (including internal doors) in my house is painted in cream satin.
Yesterday in a flash of inspiration I thought it'd look better if the skirting boards were white - today it dawned on me what a massive job it'd be to change everything!
So my question is would you:
A - leave it cream satin
B - change it to white satin
C - change it to white gloss
I did think about changing just the skirting boards but then I think the door frames and doors would just look as if they were dirty!

If everyone here wants you to paint them bright pink will you do it

If the paintwork is fine then I would leave it cream satin. Once you start on the skirting boards, you're committing to doing the door frames and doors too, because I agree that they would look dirty if you left them cream.0

I would gradually change them all to white eggshell, it doesn't seem to 'yellow' like gloss and always looks smart. It will take you ages but will look good once you've done.0

If you use gloss, it will be yellow gloss in 3 months due to a change in the formula imposed by the EC.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

No! Both wrong, I'm afraid. Oilbasedwhite eggshell will yellow in the same way that white oilbased gloss does.
Use waterbased white eggshell OR gloss, and it will stay white.
Johnstone's Aqua system (inc their w/b undercoat) is the best of the bunch at present.

They do satinwood, too. For waterbased eggshell, Little Greene's are excellent.
Incidentally, the EU-imposed regulations limit the proportion of VOCs in the paint, making it less carcinogenic for decorators and the public. Throat cancer has been one of the main causes of death in retired decorators. So it is not just EU bureaucracy....and the new waterbased alternatives dry quickly, don't smell and stay white.0
