Hi I've not visited here in a while. With regards the fine I received in 2011 for overstay in a car park with cameras that I was unaware of. I was advised here to just have a chuckle and throw away. I've since heard nothing from town and county until today now called smartparking. My first thought was to laugh but the info at the top now states not to ignore. I've read through the sticky but just need to make sure. They have given me 7days to appeal wich seems strange 3 years later. So my first thought is to just bin this I don't even own the car anymore. If I corrospond with these scammers I'm likely to just give them details that I was the culprit and they have my right address. Any advice on this is welcome

If this is them chasing a ticket from 2011, then the advice to keep ignoring has not changed - POFA 2012 was not retrospective so this is no more than a continuation of the scam.

There have been a few companies trying this-on recently, its just a fishing trip.
For all current tickets, refer to the Newbies sticky for the various ways of seeing them off.0
